CORRECTIONS CREATIONS HOURS OF OPERATION MODIFIED

(Concord, NH) New Hampshire Department of Corrections Commissioner Stephen J. Curry announced that effective April 15, 2005, Corrections Creations will be open Tuesday through Friday only. The store, where the general public can buy hundreds of well-crafted and original offender-made goods, will no longer be open on weekends.

“This decision follows a thorough review of the security operations of this building and other areas where the general public frequently interacts with offenders,” Commissioner Curry said.

“We will keep the retail store open Tuesday through Friday when more NHDOC staff trained in all facets of offender supervision and in the protection of the public are available to oversee the operations,” Commissioner Curry added.

Commissioner Curry also announced that effective the same date, customers can only use a credit card or personal check to acquire prison-made goods. Cash will no longer be accepted.

Corrections Creations is located at 312 North State Street in Concord. The new hours of operation will be Tuesday through Friday 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
