NH DEPT OF CORRECTIONS APPLAUDS TEAM EFFORT
(Concord, NH) The New Hampshire Department of Corrections appreciates the hard work of the Attorney General's Office, the New Hampshire State Police, Massachusetts authorities and other law enforcement agencies, which was key in the quick apprehension of three escaped New Hampshire State Prison inmates.
New Hampshire Department of Corrections Commissioner Phil Stanley announced that Christopher McNeil, Philip J. Dick, and Kevin Gill will be placed in the New Hampshire State Prison's Secure Housing Unit (maximum security) upon their return from Massachusetts.
Commissioner Stanley also said that the Department will participate in a full investigation by the Attorney General's office as well as conduct its own internal investigation. "We will take the necessary steps outlined in those investigations to prevent future incidents such as this," Commissioner Stanley stated.
"We will review our security features, program activities, and any other issues pertaining to this matter," Commissioner Stanley added.
"The operation of prisons is a high risk responsibility with the utmost goal being the protection of the public. The successful apprehension is a credit to all of the hard working staff involved," Commissioner Stanley concluded. |
