Harry True Lord (1863 - 1923)
Born and died at Manchester (NH).
Lawyer; state legislator.

Lord (1863 - 1923) was born and died at Manchester (NH). After graduation from high school (1882) and Dartmouth College (1887), Lord returned to Manchester to read law at the office of Hon. David Taggart. Lord was admitted to the New Hampshire Bar in 1894.
Lord entered Manchester city politics as president of the Common Council (1899 - 1902). He was a delegate to the state's 1902 Constitutional Convention, then was twice elected a State Representative (served 1905 - 1908). Elected to the State Senate, Lord was President of the Senate, 1909 - 1910. Governor Henry Quimby (1909 - 1911) appointed Lord Acting Governor when Quimby was outside New Hampshire, and Governor Robert Bass (1911 - 1913) appointed Lord to his Governor's Council.
Lord was a member of myriad Manchester organizations, and during World War One he served on the city's draft board. Again elected a State Representative (served 1921 - 1923), Lord died suddenly at his office in 1923.
