Titus BrownTitus Brown (1786 - 1849)
Born at Alstead (NH); died at Francestown (NH).
Lawyer; state and national legislator.

Brown (1786 - 1849) was born at Alstead (NH). He graduated from Middlebury (VT) College in 1808, then studied law at Alstead. He was admitted to the New Hampshire Bar in 1814.

Brown practice law at Alstead (1814 - 1815) and at Reading (VT, 1815 - 1817). Then he moved to Francestown (NH), where he practiced law for the rest of his life.

Brown was Hillsborough County (NH) Solicitor for seven years, and a State Representative (1820 - 1825). He served as a United States Representative (1823 - 1829), and was president of the State Senate in 1843, when this "likeness" was probably "taken."
