Nahum J. Bachelder (1854 - 1934)
Born at East Andover (NH) ; served as Secretary of the State Board of Agriculture, 1887 - 1913, including during his term as governor (1903 - 05).

He was a member of the state's Cattle Commission from 1891, and he served as the longtime Secretary of the Old Home Week Association. A member of the National Grange of the Patrons of Husbandry from 1877, Bachelder became Tenth Master of the National Grange following his term as governor.
