Edward J. Lampron (1909 - 1983)

Edward Lampron was educated at St. Francis Xavier School (Nashua, NH), and then at Assumption Preparatory School (Worcester, MA). He graduated from Assumption College (also Worcester, MA) in 1931, and went on to Harvard Law School (Class of 1934). He was admitted to the New Hampshire Bar and began a law practice at Nashua (NH) (1935/7).
After a short time at Nashua, Lampron was named City Solicitor (served 1936/46). February 1947 Lampron was named Associate Justice of New Hampshire Superior Court. He served on that Court 1947/9, then was named (October 1949) an Associate Justice for the State Supreme Court. In 1978 Lampron was named Chief Justice; he retired because of age, August 23, 1979.
