U. S. Rep. Josiah Bartlett, Jr.U. S. Rep. Josiah Bartlett, Jr. (1811-1813). Bartlett (1768-1838) was born at Kingston (NH). The son of Josiah Bartlett (president 1790-1791; governor 1792-1794), Bartlett studied at Exeter Academy (NH) and later practiced medicine at Stratham (NH). He was a member of the NH Senate (1809, 1810, 1824) and a member of the twelfth U.S. Congress (1811- 1813). As a member of the 1824 Electoral College Bartlett supported John Quincy Adams (president, 1825-1829).
