Designed for members of the arts and culture industry—businesses large and small (including individuals), not-for-profits, municipal organizations and others—as well as legal professionals interested in cultural issues.
Twelve panels will occur throughout the day, including:
- Common issues in not-for-profit governance;
- Copyright issues for authors, photographers and visual artists;
- Basic estate planning for artists: Wills, trusts and power of attorney;
- The ethical lawyer on the nonprofit board (CLE credits may be available; check back as the date approaches); and
- Other topics addressing legal issues important to the arts and culture industry.
A variety of “Table Topics” will be discussed during lunch.
