The American and Canadian French Cultural Exchange Commission seeks to establish and promote ties between the State of New Hampshire and French-speaking regions and countries, especially our neighbor to the north, Canada, and to encourage the learning of French within our own state. Those ties are primarily cultural but extend into the artistic, social, political an economic spheres. The Commission was established by the legislature in 1973 and is composed of seven members who are all American citizens, fluent in French, and who serve without compensation. |
