The State of New Hampshire, Department of Cultural Resources, is seeking candidates for the position of Director of the Division of the Arts.  This full time, government-funded position reports to the Commissioner of the Department of Cultural Resources and works directly with the appointed Arts Council to promote the mission of the Division: “To promote the arts to protect and enrich New Hampshire’s unique quality of life.”  Applicants should possess demonstrable skills in visionary, community-oriented, and proactive leadership and have experience in strategic and long-term planning as well as ability to work with diverse constituencies to include artists, business and non-profit organizations, and elected officials. A successful history in securing grants, implementing budgets, public speaking, and managing staff within a major arts organization is desired.

 Qualifications:  Master’s Degree in Art Administration and three years of experience in non-profit arts administration OR at least five years’ experience administering a major arts organization or administration of a major program within a local, state, or federal arts agency.
