HEDIS and CAHPS Data
As required by RSA 420-G:11, II-a, each carrier that collects Health Employer Data and Information System (HEDIS®) and/or Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems (CAHPS®) survey data must submit the data that pertain to NH policyholders. For comparative information about health plans, the CHIS will also be providing and continually updating analysis of HEDIS data and the resulting reports. The HEDIS reports include standardized measures of quality such as immunization status of members (child and older adults); screenings for breast, cervical and colorectal cancer; post-op health management of heart attack; drug and alcohol treatment; and prenatal and postpartum care. HEDIS is a registered trademark of the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) who developed and updates annually the measurement set that comprises the HEDIS data. The CAHPS program is funded and administered by the U.S. Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ).
