Health Insurance Claims Data for NH Policy Holders (Private Insurers)
As required by RSA 420-G:11, II (a)(1), eligibility data and paid medical and pharmaceutical claims data for NH policy holders is collected by the CHIS from insurance carriers and third party administrators for policies issued in New Hampshire. Claims and eligibility data is useful for studying the use and cost of healthcare services in NH. For 2005, there were 23 million medical claims and 5 million pharmacy claims collected by the systems. Administrative Rule Ins 4000 specifies in detail the information the carriers submit. A simplified list of the fields collected may be found on the DHHS contractor maintained website for the NH CHIS.
