Announcing Two New Percent for Art Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
The State Arts Council has just issued Requests for Proposals for two new Percent for Art projects that will bring art into public spaces of state-owned buildings. Artists are invited to submit proposals for:
New Hampshire Technical Institute’s Grappone Hall, Concord, N.H.
- Deadline: Postmarked or delivered by August 27, 2010
- On-Site Informational Meeting and Building Tour: Monday, August 2, 1 – 3:30 p.m.

Maine Hosting Touring Arts Conference
Maine is hosting a convening of organizations August 4-6 with a goal of improving opportunities for touring artists and presenting organizations. The Over The Edge Conference is free and open to presenting organizations and artists looking to find touring solutions. The conference is a collaboration among the Atlantic Presenters Association, the Collins Center for the Arts, the Maine Arts Commission and the New England Foundation for the Arts. Milestones
New Post for AANNH’s Eileen Alexander
Eileen Alexander is stepping down from her job as assistant director of the Arts Alliance of Northern New Hampshire, but will still be working for the North Country organization. In her new contracted position, special projects coordinator, she’ll be focusing on the Arts & Health Partnership and other projects.

Lenita Bofinger
Lenita Bofinger, a Concord watercolorist who was a founding member of the Merrimack River Painters, passed away on July 9, 2010, while on vacation in Canada. Her work is part of an exhibit now on display at Franklin Pierce Law Center in Concord. Read the Concord Monitor’s story here .
