IMPORTANT NEWS FROM THE NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE COUNCIL ON THE ARTS
July 9, 2015:
The July 31, 2015 deadline for General Project Grants for Community Engagement is postponed indefinitely.
The New Hampshire State Council on the Arts has taken this action in response to our current budget situation. As you may know, the budget passed by the Legislature included a cut to the Arts Council’s State appropriation, which will result in a concomitant loss of Federal funds (Federal funds must be matched 1:1).
We are truly sorry about the impact this suspension may have on programs in your community. Last year, $63,750.00 was awarded to 18 organizations for arts programming in communities throughout New Hampshire. We will reevaluate reinstatement of the grant category once a budget agreement is reached and funding is secure.
