New Year, New Series of Artist Entrepreneurial Workshops

The New Hampshire State Council on the Arts is pleased to offer our third series of free workshops for professional New Hampshire artists who are seeking to enhance their business skills, promote their work, and network with other artists.

Space is limited, so please be sure to register as soon as possible by calling (603)271-2789 or emailing Judy Rigmont, Community Arts Coordinator, at Judy.L.Rigmont@dcr.nh.gov.

All workshops listed below, take place from 3pm - 5pm at the State Arts Council offices.

January 23, 2007:
I Think I Want/Need a Web Site, But Where Do I Begin?
Workshop Facilitator: Dan Pouliot, Webmaster (Cabletron/Enterasys), Artist (photography, oil painting, digital art) and Marketeer. Learn about the benefits of having a website, how to get started, site architecture, pros and cons of creating your own site, how to market your site, and other useful tips.

February 27, 2007:
Artist Grants and Services: What Do We Do? What Are You Missing?
NH State Council on the Arts staff will share information and answer questions about the various services and grants offered to professional artists with a particular focus on public art, fellowships, and artist entrepreneurial grants/workshops. It is your time to ask questions and give us input on how we can better serve you.

Approaching a Gallery & Patron Relationships
Workshop Facilitators: Rob Riley, Director of  MicroCredit NH, Trish Anderson-Soule, Anderson-Soule Gallery, and Sarah Chaffee, McGowan Fine Arts. Learn from gallery owners about the most effective ways to approach them and how to develop and maintain strong client and patron relationships. This session is offered in partnership with MicroCredit NH's ArtWorks-NH Program.
