Barbara Dimmick's newest novel, Heartside Up, Heartside Out (published by Graywolf Press) will be coming out in early 2002. Her 1998 novel, In the Presence of Horses, (published by Doubleday) has also been published in Europe and Scandanavia. Her short fiction is included in The Company of Dogs, an anthology. Her writing has been widely published in regional and trade periodicals.

Barbara has been a Fellow at distinguished artist colonies including: The Thurber House (where she currently is in residence), Yaddo, MacDowell, Hawthornden International Retreat for Writers, and the Ragdale Center for the Arts. From 1984 to 1997, she was professor of Writing and Literature at the New Hampshire Community Technical College
in Claremont, NH, which honored her as “The Teacher of the Year.”
