Cassandra Erickson Mason, Chief Grants Officer
Cassandra Mason joined State Arts Council staff as Chief Grants Officer in 2008. She manages office operations, is the accessibility coordinator and provides administrative support to the Executive Director, Council and programs. Additionally, she oversees all grant-making and contracting activities and directly administers the arts infrastructure program, which includes Operating, General Project, Artist Entrepreneurial, Cultural Facilities and Cultural Conservation grants.
Cassie brings a strong administrative background to the job as well as experience in working within the state government environment. She was an Investigative Paralegal for the NH Police Standards and Training Council preparing contracts, motions, administrative rules, requests for proposals and Governor and Council submissions. She also maintained extensive databases and contracted for training workshops. Prior to that, Mason held the position of Director of Victim/Witness Program for the Merrimack County Attorney’s Office for nine years.
Cassie loves the arts and, with her family, is a frequent visitor to the state’s many arts venues. In particular, she and her husband Kevin have three artistically inclined children so she has a strong appreciation for how important arts education is for every student.
