THE BOARD HAS ADOPTED NEW RULES.
PLEASE REVIEW ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS CAREFULLY. THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE CHANGES ARE HIGHLIGHTED BELOW.
Mhp 302.03 (a)(1-3) -The Board now requires a criminal background check for all applicants. If you are applying for licensure after June 19, 2015 you must submit a criminal background check with your application. The Board has provided links to all 50 states. Click on Links on the left hand side of this page and follow the directions.
Mhp 302.01 (c)(9) - Supervisors for candidates for licensure must successfully complete one of the following before January 31, 2016: 1) a graduate level course in clinical supervision; 2) a clinical supervision certificate approved by AAPC, NASW, AMHCA or AAMFT or 3) 12 CEU's in clinical supervision. This is a one time requirement. Please submit documentation to the Board of Mental Health Practice, 121 South Fruit Street, Concord, NH 03301 for approval. Candidate Agreements approved by the Board prior to June 18, 2015 will not be effected by the new rule.
Essay exam questions are no longer required as part of the application packet.

Candidates for Supervision: If you wish to be licensed in NH and obtain your post-master's hours in New Hampshire you must have these hours pre-approved by the Board via a Candidate for Licensure: Supervision Agreement. This form can be found under Applications/ Forms.
