how to apply for license

You must Read and Print before continuing....  Stop

  1. To apply for a liquor license click on the Request for Application at the bottom of this write-up.
  2. In order to fill out the application click on the type of application that you want to apply for, this will open up the State Title XIII RSA for that type of license and give you the information for that type of license. Read the information to see if this is the type you want and qualify for. If not click on a different one until you find the type of license you want to apply for. Once you have decided the proper type of license you want to apply for continue filling out all of the information on the application.
  3. Once you get to type of business click on the entity or non-entity that you want to apply for the license under (example: Sole Proprietor, Partnership/LLP, Corporation or LLC). This will open an explanation sheet of the paperwork that is needed for this type of license depending on whether it is an on-premise or off-premise license. At the top of the page click on the entity check list box a form will open giving you a checklist of all paperwork needed for this type of license.
  4. Once you have completed the entire application (all questions must be answered) you may print it. Someone having signing privileges for the entity will sign and date it. Mail application along with a check made out to NHSLC for $100.00 this is a processing fee, to NHSLC, Division of Enforcement, P.O. Box 1795, Concord, NH 03302.
  5. Obtain all paperwork requested for the type of license you are applying for. Once you have all paperwork and permits you will call the Licensing Help Desk (603) 271-3521 at which time they will email the investigator to do an inspection of the premise.The investigator will contact you directly to schedule an appointment for the inspection. Please give proper phone numbers where you can be reached. Once this is completed the investigator will return his report with his recommendation of approval to the Licensing Help Desk.
  6. Once the investigator has approved your premise and has sent his report to the Licensing Help Desk you may call to schedule a final appointment. Please call the Licensing Help Desk (603) 271-3521 to schedule the next possible time for a final appointment.
  7. At the final appointment you will be expected to present all of the checklist items. All documents must be in the name of the entity or non-entity that is to be licensed.
  8. Additional information is available for all Title XIII State Statutes and Rules, please refer to Enforcement-Laws and Regulations tab. Information for classes that must be attended are under Education tab, click on the proper tab for the class you wish to attend. Posters will be supplied to you at your final appointment if the investigator did not leave one during his inspection. Credit application for use at the liquor stores or warehouse ordering are available under Wholesale-Credit application tab.
