SUPERIOR COURT

LOCATION OF THE COURT

The Carroll County Superior Court is located at 96 Water Village Road, Ossipee, New Hampshire. DIRECTIONS

TELEPHONE

Call 1-800-445-4468 (in NH) after 5:00 PM the night before you are scheduled to report to confirm your reporting time and date. In the event a last minute change is required, this is the only notice you will receive. If the court is closed due to a major snowstorm or other emergency, a notice will be recorded on 1-800-445-4468 (in NH) by 7:00 AM on the morning you are to report.  

Please do not plan to make or receive telephone calls except in emergencies.

PARKING

A large parking lot is located directly in front of the courthouse.

 ATTENDANCE

If there is an emergency situation that prevents you from appearing on a day you are scheduled to report, call the clerk's office immediately.

All requests for exemptions and postponements must be in writing and received by the court, along with your juror questionnaire by the date specified in your letter from the court. No requests for exemptions or postponements can be handled by telephone. 

NOTE: IF YOU FAIL TO APPEAR FOR JURY DUTY YOU BE HELD IN CONTEMPT OF COURT.

FIRST DAY FACTS:

Arrive on time, but not more than 15 minutes early, to insure that the court staff is ready to admit you.  

Bring something to read, in case you have to wait.  

Dress for the weather. You may have to wait in line outside to be cleared by the metal detector.  

On your first day, enter through the front courthouse door.

Please note that no food or beverages will be allowed in the courthouse on your first day.  

Once you are checked in, do not go back into any public areas of the courthouse.
