Cheshire County District Courts Directions

Cheshire County has two district courts:

1.  Jaffrey/Peterborough District Court
2.  Keene District Court

Directions

From the North, take Interstate 93 South to Interstate 89 North. Once on Interstate 89 North, get off at Exit 5 onto Routes 202 and 9 West. Stay on 202 when 9 and 202 split in Hillsborough. Follow 202 all the way into Jaffrey (202 turns in a couple of towns, so watch for it.) Entering into Jaffrey the Court is located on your left in Monadnock Plaza across from McDonald's.

From Eastern Massachusetts, take Route 128 (also known as Route 95) North to Exit 32A onto Route 3 North - take Exit 7W or 8 (Nashua, NH) onto Route 101A West; follow 101A until it merges with 101 West - stay on 101 into Peterborough, NH; at intersection of 101 West and 202 West, take left onto 202 West; follow 202 West into Jaffrey. Entering into Jaffrey the Court is located on your left in Monadnock Plaza across from McDonald's.

From Central Massachusetts (495), take Route 495 to Route 3 North at Lowell, MA then follow directions above.
or
From Route 495 or I-190 take Route 2 West to Westminster - take Route 140 North to Route 12 North to 202 North. At the MA/NH border Route 202 North becomes Route 202 East. Continue in NH on Route 202 East into Jaffrey. Turn right at the first set of lights, get into the center (left turn) lane and turn left at the next set of lights continuing on Route 202 East for approximately 1/2 mile.Turn right into Monadnock Plaza across from McDonalds.

From North Western Massachusetts, take Route 2 East to Route 202 North. Follow Route 202 North until the MA/NH border, then follow directions above.

From Springfield/Hartford/Connecticut (points South on Route 91), take Route 91 North to Brattleboro, VT. Take Exit 3 onto Route 9 East through Keene, NH - stay straight, road becomes Route 101 East. Continue on Route 101 East through Marlborough, NH. After passing through downtown Marlborough, take a right onto Route 124 East (sign will say Jaffrey, NH) - travel approximately 12 miles into Jaffrey. At the second set of lights in downtown Jaffrey, take a left continuing on Route 202 East for approximately 1/2 mile, Turn right in Monadnock Plaza across from McDonalds.

From Vermont, follow directions above from Route 91 to Brattleboro, VT.

Directions

From the North

1) Take Interstate 91 South to Exit 3 in Brattleboro , VT.   Go ½ way around the traffic circle and onto Route 9 to New Hampshire .  Take Route 9 all the way into Keene , NH .  After going through two sets of lights you arrive at a traffic circle.  Proceed ½ way around the traffic circle to remain on Route 9.  At the next set of lights turn left onto Main Street .  At the traffic circle on Main Street , proceed ½ way around to continue on Main Street .   At the next set of lights (Keene Common), bear to the right.  Do not go around the common and do not take the sharp right turn onto Roxbury Street .  The Keene District Court is on the right on the second floor of the City Hall Building. 

OR

2) Take Interstate 93 South to Interstate 89 North.  Proceed on Interstate 89 North to Hillsboro/Henniker/Keene Exit (this is a left exit).  Take Route 9 through Hillsboro and into Keene .  Follow Route 9 to Washington Street .  This will be a left turn from a left turn lane.  Take Washington Street until it brings you to the Keene Common.  Just prior to entering the Common, the District Court is on the left on the second floor of the City Hall Building.  

From the south , there are two ways to travel:

1) Take Interstate 91 North to Exit 3 in Brattleboro , VT.   Go ½ way around the traffic circle and onto Route 9 to New Hampshire .  Take Route 9 all the way into Keene , NH .  After going through two sets of lights you arrive at a traffic circle.  Proceed ½ way around the traffic circle to remain on Route 9.  At the next set of lights turn left onto Main Street .  At the traffic circle on Main Street , proceed ½ way around to continue on Main Street.   At the next set of lights (Keene Common), bear to the right.  Do not go around the common and do not take the sharp right turn onto Roxbury Street .  The Keene District Court is on the right on the second floor of the City Hall Building . 

OR

2) Take Route 2 West to the Winchendon, MA/Route 140 Exit.  This exit is on the outskirts of Gardner , MA and is just beyond the Aubuchon Hardware HQ which will be on the left.  Take Route 140 into Winchendon.  Once in Winchendon, bear right onto Route 12 (there is a large chair in the median at this intersection).  Take Route 12 through Fitzwilliam, Troy , Swanzey and into Keene .  At the first set of lights (Tire Warehouse on the right), go straight onto Main Street , but stay in the right lane.  At the traffic circle on Main Street , proceed ½ way around to continue on Main Street.  At the next set of lights (Keene Common), bear to the right.  Do not go around the common and do not take the sharp right turn onto Roxbury Street .  The Keene District Court is on the right on the second floor of the City Hall Building . 

From the east , take Route 101 through Milford , Peterborough , Dublin , Marlborough , etc. until you get to Keene .  There are several Keene exits.  You want the 2 nd one that brings you onto Main Street .  Once on Main Street, stay in the right hand lane.  Go straight through the next two sets of lights. At the traffic circle on Main Street , proceed ½ way around to continue on Main Street .  At the next set of lights (Keene Common), bear to the right.  Do not go around the common and do not take the sharp right turn onto Roxbury Street .  The Keene District Court is on the right on the second floor of the City Hall building.

From the west , there are two ways to travel:

1) Take Route 9 south ( Vermont ) to Interstate 91 North in Brattleboro , VT.   Go ½ way around the traffic circle and onto Route 9 to New Hampshire .  Take Route 9 all the way into Keene , NH . After going through two sets of lights you arrive at a traffic circle.  Proceed ½ way around the traffic circle to remain on Route 9.  At the next set of lights turn left onto Main Street .  At the traffic circle on Main Street , proceed ½ way around to continue on Main Street.  At the next set of lights (Keene Common), bear to the right.  Do not go around the common and do not take the sharp right turn onto Roxbury Street .  The Keene District Court is on the right on the second floor of the City Hall Building .

OR
