Advisory Committee on RulesThe Advisory Rules Committee wants your comments on proposed rules About the CommitteeThe Advisory Committee on Rules, established by Supreme Court Rule 51, receives and considers suggestions for changes to the rules governing the state courts. Suggestions for changes to court rules may be submitted by courts, judges, the bar, and members of the public by writing to the committee at the following address:
Members
The committee is composed of 14 members. The Supreme Court
may appoint one judge from the Supreme Court, one judge from the Superior Court, one judge
from the District Court, and one judge from the Probate Court, as well as two attorneys
and three lay persons. Committee MinutesBeginning with the March 2002 meeting, the committee has voted to make the minutes of its meetings available to the public. After the minutes of a meeting have been approved (which will ordinarily occur at the subsequent meeting of the committee), they will be posted on this website.
