NEW HAMPSHIRE BOARD OF LICENSURE
FOR LAND SURVEYORS

JANUARY - JUNE 2009 ACTIVITIES

The current five-member Board consists of  Earl Sandford, LLS & PE, Vice-Chair; John Myhaver, LLS; Gregory Brown, LLS, Tracey Sweeney, II, LLS and Richard Bond, CSS, CWS, Public Member. Joint Board staff for the Land Surveyors Board consists of Louise Lavertu, Executive Director and Donna Lobdell, Program Specialist.

Complaints

The Board reviewed 3 new complaintS during this reporting period.

  • ONE  complaint was A civil matters and WAS dismissed.

  • Two complaints FROM THE PREVIOUS REPORTING PERIOD are under investigation.

  • TWO complaintS ARE being reviewed.

    Other Items of Interest

  • Tracey Sweeney, LLS of Bow was nominated by Governor Lynch and confirmed by the Executive Council as the newest member of the Board on August 19, 2009. John Myhaver was confirmed for a second five year term by the Executive Council on August 19, 2009. The Board honored Chairperson Kevin McEneaney, LLS at their August 7th meeting for his ten years of dedicated service to the Board.

  • The Board has readopted the 217 and 300-500 section of the administrative rules effective January 1, 2009.

Examinations

NCEES Exam Administration Services administers the FLS and PLS examinations for the New Hampshire Board.

Candidates must apply to the NH Board to be qualified to sit for the exam and for subsequent re-exams. Upon approval of the Board, candidates will be directed to the NCEES web site to register for exam administration.

Examination deadlines will be strictly adhered to due to the change to NCEES exam administration. The deadline for the April 2010 exam is January 1, 2010
February 8, 2010 for the SIT exam.

Signing up for the exam is a two step process. Candidates approved by the Board must also register on-line with NCEES to sit for the exam. Instructions will be sent with the candidate's approval letter
