JUNE - DECEMBER 2012 ACTIVITIES

 

The current five-member Board consists of Earl Sandford, LLS & PE, Chair; John Myhaver, LLS, Vice-Chair; Gregory Brown, LLS, Tracey Sweeney, II, LLS and Richard Bond, CSS, CWS, Public Member. Joint Board staff for the Land Surveyors Board consists of Louise Lavertu, Executive Director, and Donna Lobdell, Program Specialist.

 

   Enforcement

 

 

 

The Board received three new complaints against licensees from the public during this reporting period.

 

arrowOne complaint is under investigation.

 

arrow One compliant was investigated and dismissed for lack of grounds.

 

arrow One complaint was dismissed because it was a civil matter.

 

arrowThe Board received one complaint about possible unlicensed advertising during this reporting period that has been resolved.  

     
 
   BOARDOther Items of Interest

 
 
arrow Public Member, Richard Bond, was reappointed by Governor John Lynch for a second 5 year term on the Board. Mr. Bond's term ends on February 3, 2017.    
   
arrow Beginning in January 2014, NCEES will offer the FS as a computer-based exam rather than as pencil-and-paper exam.Follow this link to read more about computer based testing.    
 
arrow The Joint Board has a new part-time investigator, Thomas McCabe. Tom will assist the Boards in expediting investigation of complaints.

NCEES Exam Administration Services administers the FLS and PLS examinations for the New Hampshire Board. Signing up for the exam is a two step process. Candidates approved by the Board must also register on-line with NCEES to sit for the exam. Instructions will be sent with the candidate's approval letter.

You can find more information about NCEES Exam Administration Services by visiting their web site at: http://www.ncees.org/Exams.php Candidates must apply to the NH Board to be qualified to sit for the exam and for subsequent re-exams. Upon approval of the Board, candidates will be directed to the NCEES web site to register for exam administration.

Exam deadlines are as follows for all applications, supporting documentation and fees:

JANUARY 1 - APRIL LS EXAM

FEBRUARY 8 - APRIL SIT EXAM


Examination deadlines will be strictly adhered to.

   
arrow THE OCTOBER 2013 EXAM WILL BE THE LAST PAPER AND PENCIL SIT EXAM.
