JULY - DECEMBER 2013 ACTIVITIES

 

The current five-member Board consists of Gregory Brown, LLS, Chair; Tracey Sweeney, II, LLS, Vice-Chairman; William Doucet, LLS, Kevin McEneaney, LLS and Richard Bond, CSS, CWS, Public Member. Joint Board staff for the Land Surveyors Board consists of Louise Lavertu, Executive Director, and Donna Lobdell, Program Specialist.

 

 

Enforcement

 

The Board received two new complaints against licensees from the public during this reporting period.


arrow One complaint from the prior reporting period was investigated and dismissed. Investigation determined that no misconduct occurred.

arrow One complaint from the prior reporting period resulted in disciplinary action.

 

arrow One complaint was dismissed because it was a civil matter.

 

arrow One complaint is under review.

 

 

Other Items of Interest

arrow Two new members were appointed to the Board during this reporting period.

arrow William Doucet, LLS of Newmarket was appointed in July 2013. Bill's first term is current until July 14, 2014. Mr. Doucet replaced John Myhaver who passed away in 2013.

arrow Kevin McEneaney, LLS of Dover was appointed in October 2013. Kevin's first term is current until August 12, 2018. Mr. McEeaney replaced outgoing chair Earl Sandford. Earl served two consecutive terms on the Board.

 
arrow The Board honored outgoing Chair Earl Sandford for his ten years of dedicated service to the Board and to the Citizens of the State of New Hampshire at the Board's August 2013 meeting.

arrow The Board adopted administrative rules required to implement computer based testing for the fundamentals of surveying. The rules were effective November 1, 2013.

arrow The FS is now a computer-based exam rather than as pencil-and-paper exam. Follow this link to read more about computer based testing.


Examinations


arrow The results of the October 2013 exam are the last FS exam results we will process that are not computer based.

 

arrowNCEES Exam Administration Services administers the PLS examinations for the New Hampshire Board. Signing up for the exam is a two step process. Candidates approved by the Board must also register on-line with NCEES to sit for the exam. Instructions will be sent with the candidate's approval letter.

arrowYou can find more information about NCEES Exam Administration Services by visiting their web site at: http://www.ncees.org/Exams.php Candidates must apply to the NH Board to be qualified to sit for the exam and for subsequent re-exams. Upon approval of the Board, candidates will be directed to the NCEES web site to register for exam administration.

arrowExam deadlines for the April 2014 PLS and NH Legal Aspects exam are as follows for all applications, supporting documentation and fees:

JANUARY 1, 2014 - APRIL 2014 PLS/NHL EXAM

FEBRUARY 1, 2014 - Reapplication deadline (individuals that have sat and failed the exam)
