     CONTINUING EDUCATION INFORMATION

The New Hampshire Board of Home Inspectors requires continuing education as a condition of license renewal

Bullet Licensees must begin accumulating continuing education hours commencing with their date of licensure and report 20 continuing education hours to the Board at their first renewal

Bullet 
One hour of continuing education per biennial renewal must be on any recent revisions to building regulations.

All courses pertaining to building technologies, best and worst construction practices, new construction technologies and system installation practices
will qualify as the one hour of continuing education required for recent revisions to building regulations.

*IN ADDITION, The following organizations may provide continuing education regarding building regulations:

Arrow  New Hampshire Building Officials Association

Arrow
 Home Builders and Remodelers Association of NH


Arrow  Associated General Contractors of NH


Arrow  NH Public Utilities Commission

Bullet Licensees may not use continuing education gained before their date of licensure.
 

Bullet
5% of Licensees will be randomly audited annually for compliance with continuing education requirements. The licensee shall retain proof of attendance for at least 4 years pursuant to administrative Rule Home 403.04 (c).

The Board does not pre-approve continuing education however administrative rule Home 403.01 (a) requires the following:

Continuing education activities shall be relevant to the practice of home inspection or no credit shall be awarded. Such continuing education activities may include technical, ethical, or managerial content.
