Initial License
First time Resident Producers are required to:
- Satisfactorily pass a formal written examination for the desired license type and lines of authority. This examination is administered by our business partner, Prometric.
- Complete an application and submit required fee's.
Renewal License
A renewal notice with instructions will be mailed to your mailing address of record approximately 60 days prior to license expiration. You cannot renew your license prior to 60 days before expiration.
Reinstating Expired License-Licenses
Reinstating within 2 years of expiration does not require an examination, must be Continuing Education compliant. Reinstatement fee is $300.
Adding or Deleting a Line of Authority
- This is a license amendment requiring a $50 fee
- Examination is required for line(s) of authority requested - Prometric
- Submit a written request and include exam score report and $50 fee.

Complete the Uniform Application for Reinstatement of Business Entities - Business Entity Reinstatement Application Reinstating within two years of expiration requires doubling the license fee.
License Amendments
Includes changing Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP), adding/deleting Lines of Authority (LOA’s).
- Adding LOA’s requires a written request, DRLP must hold this LOA, requires a $50 amendment fee.
- Adding, Changing, Deleting DRLP, Deleting LOA - Write a letter signed by the newly designated DRLP requesting the amendment, requires $50 amendment fee.
