Initial Producer Licenses

Resident Individual Producers:

Resident Business Entity:

  • Apply Online with the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR)
  • Licensing Fees Adobe Acrobat Reader Symbol
  • New Hampshire Department of State Corporate Division: The Corporate Division is responsible for the statutory filing of business entities, trademarks and trade names and numerous miscellaneous filings.
  • Designated Responsible Licensed Producer (DRLP's) must be licensed for the Lines of Authority selected by the Business Entity

Non Resident Business Entity:

  • Apply Online with the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR)

Renewal Producer License

A renewal notice with instructions will be mailed to your mailing address of record approximately 60 days prior to license expiration. You cannot renew your license prior to 60 days before expiration. Non - receipt of a renewal notice does not negate your responsibility to renew your license. All resident producers with major lines of authority must be CE compliant prior to renewal. All renewals are processed electronically via www.nipr.com.

Reinstating Expired Licenses Within Two Years of Expiration
  • Resident individuals applying to reinstate licenses within 2 years of expiration must be Continuing Education compliant.
  • Non Resident Individuals must be licensed in good standing in their home state.
  • Reinstatement fee is $300
  • Two or more years after license expiration initial license procedures and fees apply
  • Residents Apply Online with the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) and select initial license
  • Non Residents Apply Online with the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) and select initial license

License Amendments
  • License amendments are changes that add lines of authority (LOA), delete LOA, and adding or deleting a Designated Responsible Licensed Producer.
  • Individual Amendments
    • Residents- To add a LOA, resident individuals must take the appropriate licensing examination. Apply online and select Resident "initial license". $50 fee.
    • Non Resident - To add a LOA, non resident Apply online and select Non Resident "initial license". $50 fee.
  • Business Entity Amendments
    • To add a LOA, Business Entities Apply Online and select Resident or Non Resident " initial license". DRLP's must hold these LOA's. $50 fee.
    • Adding, Changing, Deleting DRLP"S or LOA's; $50 fee required.
    • Changing business name without a corresponding change in FEIN: Write a letter signed by an officer, Director, or Owner requesting the amendment. no fee required.
