Commissioner Sevigny leads a staff of 81 employees. He is an NAIC Past President and is a very active member of the NAIC Committees and task forces. He is Chair of the Life Insurance Interstate Compact as well as the Producer Licensing Task Force. He is also a member of the SERFF Board of Directors, the NAIC/State Government Liaison Committee and Vice-Chair of the Antifraud Task Force. Additionally, he is a member of the International Insurance Relations Leadership Group, the Professional Health Insurance Advisors (EX) Task Force, , the Accounting Practices and Procedures (E) Task Force, the Examination Oversight (E) Task Force, the Reinsurance (E) Task Force and the Valuation of Securities (E) Task Force.
Prior to his appointment as Commissioner he held the position of Assistant Commissioner of New Hampshire's Insurance Department. Before joining the Insurance Department, he was an employee of Travelers Insurance for more than 30 years, serving in a variety of technical and management positions.
Commissioner Sevigny holds a Bachelor of Arts in biology from St. Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire. He is also a commissioned officer in the United States Army, having retired at the rank of Colonel.
