Welcome to the Governor's Commission on the Humane Treatment of Animals' Web site. This Web site is the product of the Governor's executive order to form a commission to investigate, evaluate, and recommend better ways to prevent and address animal abuse. The Web site contains information and links of public and private programs, companies, and individuals that pertain to the humane treatment of animals. It also contains news events, legislation, and important contact information pertaining to animal abuse.

	Animal Care Brochures Interactive Educational Presentation About Animal Cruelty in New Hampshire Guidelines for Responsible Pet Ownership The Governor's Commission on The Humane Treatment of Animals has recognized the need to educate the public regarding the prevention of animal cruelty. Toward that end, the Commission has endorsed the Guidelines for Responsible Pet Ownership as put forth by the American Veterinary Medical Association as a model for New Hampshire pet owners.
To report Animal Cruelty: If you are aware of an animal cruelty or neglect situation where the animal's life is in immediate danger, contact the police department of the town where the animal is located.
