The State of New Hampshire Board of Hearing Care Providers regulates and licenses audiologists and hearing aid dealers in the state to safeguard the public health, safety, and welfare; to protect the public from being misled by incompetent, unscrupulous, and unprofessional conduct by hearing care providers; and to assure the availability of the highest possible quality hearing care services to the people of this state by regulating hearing aid dealers and audiologists. The hearing care profession in the State of New Hampshire is regulated by RSA 137-F.
The Board of Hearing Care Providers is a seven-member board appointed by the Governor and Council for two-year terms. The Board consists of two audiologists licensed to practice in the state, one licensed otolaryngologist, two non-audiologist hearing aid dealers registered to dispense hearing aids in the state, and two members of the public who are not associated with or financially interested in the practice or business of audiology or the dispensing of hearing aids, who are not members of allied or related professions or occupations.
The next meeting of the Board of Hearing Care Providers scheduled for Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. has been cancelled. The meeting will be held at the Philbrook Building, 121 S Fruit St, Concord, NH 03301.
