H1N1 Nasal Flu Mist Vaccine Benefits ![]()
12/17/2009: The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) today announced that it is extending the H1N1 Vaccine Distribution to the general public.
NH DHHS is offering school based and public clinics for H1N1 vaccine regionally with the assistance of the All Health Hazard Regions (AHHR). Dates and locations are being posted to the website at http://www.nh.gov/h1n1/vaccine.htm, to the Google Flushot Finder @ http://google.com/flushot/ and to the 2-1-1 information system.
As a reminder, all children under the age of 10 require two doses of H1N1 vaccine (separated by 28 days) in order to be protected.
Healthcare providers are encouraged to continue vaccinating the following high-risk individuals at accessible times
- Anyone between the ages of 6 months to 24 years of age
- Adults 25 through 64 years of age with underlying medical conditions
- Health care workers with direct patient contact
- Pregnant women
- People caring for or living with infants younger than 6 months old (including partners of pregnant women)
