Gov. Lynch Statement Regarding The Constitutional Amendment Proposed Today

“To give every child in New Hampshire the opportunity for a quality education, we need to be able to direct more aid to communities with greater needs, and I am pleased that the House is continuing to work hard on this effort.

“While I have not had a chance to thoroughly review the proposed language proposed by House Finance Committee Chairman Marjorie Smith, I do want to thank House Speaker Terie Norelli for her support of efforts to direct more education aid to communities with greater needs. This amendment proposal moves us forward. It will take a bipartisan effort to get an amendment on the ballot, and I will be continuing talk with lawmakers so that we can put in place the best education policy for our kids.”
