Gov. Lynch Statement Regarding Coffey Decision
Gov. John Lynch today released the following statement regarding the state Supreme Court’s decision to suspend Superior Court Judge Patricia Coffey for three years without pay.

“The public has the right to expect its judges will meet the highest standards of ethics and integrity, and will follow the law at all times. Judge Coffey’s misconduct violates the public trust, and for that reason, she should no longer be allowed to serve as a judge.

“The right thing for the people of New Hampshire and the integrity of our judicial branch would be for Judge Coffey to resign from the bench. If she does not resign, it is appropriate that she be removed through the bill of address process now pending before the Legislature,” Gov Lynch said.
