  State House Open House to Highlight Inaugural Celebration
  Gov. Lynch Invites Citizens to Join in Inaugural Celebration
   
  CONCORD - A State House Open House Celebration, free and open to all New Hampshire citizens, will highlight the Inaugural day festivities, Gov. John Lynch said.

"The Inauguration is a celebration of New Hampshire and our people, and I want all New Hampshire citizens to have an opportunity to participate, "Gov. Lynch said. "I hope they will join me in marking the beginning of the next chapter in New Hampshire's great history."

The Open House from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Jan. 4th, Inauguration Day, is free and open to the public. It will feature food and entertainment, as well as Gov. Lynch and Dr. Susan Lynch greeting citizens.

Other Inaugural Celebrations:

  • Breakfast Honoring State Employees: Gov. Lynch invites all state employees to join him for breakfast from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. on Inauguration Day at the Tuck Library, New Hampshire Historical Society, 30 Park Street, Concord.
  • Inaugural Ceremony: The inaugural ceremony will begin at noon in Representatives Hall at the State House. Due to limited space, attendance is by invitation only. There will be televised viewing available in the State House.
  • Receiving Line: After being sworn in, Gov. Lynch and Dr. Susan Lynch will greet citizens in the Executive Council chambers following the Inaugural Ceremony. The celebration will include entertainment and refreshments.
  • Executive Council Meeting: Gov. Lynch will hold his first meeting with the Executive Council at 3:30 p.m.
  • Open House Celebration: From 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Gov. Lynch and Dr. Susan Lynch will greet citizens at the State House. The event will include entertainment and refreshments.
  • Inaugural Ball: The Governor's Inaugural Ball will be held Jan. 6th at the Center of New Hampshire in Manchester, with a reception at 5:30 and dinner at 7 p.m. For information on tickets, contact Sarah Nolan, 603-228-6000.
  • North Country Inaugural Ball: The North Country Inaugural Ball will be held on Saturday, January 20th. Location and ticket information will be announced when details are finalized.
