STATEMENT of Gov. John Lynch on Supreme Court School Funding Decision
Gov. Lynch made the following initial statement today about the Supreme Court's school funding ruling this morning. Gov. Lynch will make additional comments later today.

"I am in the process of reviewing the decision now and I will be meeting this morning with the Attorney General and with legislative leaders.

"Our responsibility is to ensure that every child in New Hampshire has an opportunity for a quality education. We can achieve that goal, but it will take putting aside partisanship and working together - Democrats, Independents and Republicans - and that is what I am committed to doing. But I also want to make clear that I will not support proposals to walk away from the state's responsibility to education."
