CONCORD - Gov. John Lynch and the Executive Council today approved a contract to buy land near Jericho Lake in Berlin for a new state park, which will feature hundreds of miles of trails for ATVs.

"This project will provide an important economic stimulus for the City of Berlin and the surrounding communities, by bringing new visitors to that area," Gov. Lynch said. "This park will also open up new recreational opportunities for residents and visitors to New Hampshire and I applaud the Executive Council for approving this important project."
