CONCORD - Governor John Lynch today recognized the 2005 Under 14 Babe Ruth Softball National Championship Team. The Concord team won the Babe Ruth Under 14 National Invitational Tournament in Sparta, New Jersey earlier this summer. They beat top-ranked Maryland, 8-0, to clinch the title.

The 16 players and their four coaches, all from Concord, were presented with commendations from the Governor at today's Executive Council Meeting. The team members are: Alycia Baker, Caitlyn Bill, Kiera Blane, Emily Blossom, Skye Butman, Bridget Butterworth, Sophie Dalterio, Jessica Douillette, Tifani Douillette, Tristina Douillette, Tessa Feldvebel, Paige Hanson, Emily Jobin, Hilary Kane, Christy Mahon, and Brooke Murphy. Their coaches are: Head Coach Harry Brechtel, Shawn Brechtel, Dave Dalrymple and Michelle Brechtel.
