Intergenerational Wellness 5K Walk

The GCPAH is pleased to announce our Intergenerational Wellness 5K Walk taking place on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 from the State House, Concord, New Hampshire to Memorial Field, Concord, New Hampshire. We expect to attract over 10,000 walkers throughout New Hampshire and hope that we can count on your support.

The "Intergenerational Wellness 5K Walk" is a statewide health initiative, centered on bringing together towns, cities, schools, organizations and businesses in New Hampshire. This walk focuses on prevention, decreased physical inactivity, and increased employee health. We will examine integrated strategies to reduce the impact of chronic disease and promote optimal health.

Satellite Locations
The Council is promoting and advocating for towns, cities, schools and businesses to participate in this sponsored event by having state wide walks at their locations.  The GCPAH is referring to these onsite walks as 'Satellite Locations' for this statewide Intergenerational Wellness 5K Walk event.

The New Hampshire Governor's Council on Physical Activity and Health, on behalf of Governor John Lynch, is pleased to announce the Council's Outstanding Achievement Awards for Physical Activity and Health. The award winners will be recognized after the Intergenerational Wellness 5K Walk at an awards ceremony on May 26, 2010.
