Dan Kiestlinger

Daniel H. Kiestlinger graduated from Manhattan College, NY in 1970 with a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in physical education and health. He was employed by the Londonderry School District from 1970 through June 2000 as a physical educator. During his twenty-two years as a valued member of the high school physical education staff he was instrumental in developing and implementing various programming – in particular, the adventure-based program entitled, "Operation Venture". Dan served as interim athletic director in 1977-78, and was the first athletic coach hired at Londonderry High School in 1978 where he directed the boys’ varsity basketball program for nineteen seasons. Dan was recognized as the "1994 Citizen of the Year" for the Town of Londonderry. He was inducted into the New Hampshire Coaches Hall of Fame in 1995.

Mr. Kiestlinger left the Londonderry School District in June of 2000. He became part of the teaching faculty at the newly founded Campbell High School in Litchfield, NH in September of 2000. Kiestlinger again was instrumental in developing the physical education program. He has served as a coach, classroom teacher and part time athletic director. Currently, he is employed by the Litchfield School District as Full Time Director of Athletics at Campbell High School.

Dan has been a member of the New Hampshire Association of Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance, since 1970, as well as a past member of the New Hampshire Coaches Association, and the New Hampshire Basketball Coaches Association. He is a current member of the New Hampshire Athletic Directors’ Association, New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association and the National Interscholastic Athletic Administors Association.

Dan Kiestlinger has been a member of the New Hampshire Governor’s Council on Physical Activity and Health since 2002, representing the NHIAA. He currently is the Membership and Nomination Committee Chairperson.

Mr. Kiestlinger is married to Marcia, his wife of thirty-six years. He has two grown daughters, Diana Pettis and Laura Howe, and two grandsons.
