Welcome to the Governor's Council on Physical Activity & Health Web site.

Our Mission & Vision

The Governor's Council on Physical Activity & Health's mission is to promote a healthy lifestyle for all NH residents, through an emphasis on physical activity and fitness, by working in cooperation with all sectors of society.

The Governor's Council on Physical Activity & Health's vision is that the state and its communities embrace and support a culture that promotes physical activity and physical and health education. All NH residents value and regularly engage in a healthy level of physical activity and fitness.

Who We Are

The Governor's Council on Physical Activity & Health is comprised of representatives from state agencies, health care, the business community, education, older adult organizations and numerous organizations and individuals with an interest in promoting physical activity.

90 Day Challenge

90 Day Challenge logoWe are the proud sponsor of the 90-Day Challenge in which you move at least 20 minutes EVERY DAY, over the course of 90 days. 
When you agree to the challenge, your passport gives you free admission to select New Hampshire State Parks!

Outstanding Achievement Award Program
Nominations: We are seeking nominations of organizations, groups, and/or individuals in New Hampshire that have accomplished outstanding achievements in promoting healthy lifestyles through physical activity and wellness services and programs.
Due: Friday, April 7, 2017 Extended Deadline; Friday, April 14, 2017

Granite Walk of Ages
A statewide health initiative, centered on bringing together towns, cities, schools, organizations and businesses in New Hampshire. This walk focuses on prevention, decreased physical inactivity, and increased employee health. Join us at White's Park, Concord, New Hampshire.
