Things to Consider >> Special Events

As you prepare your shooting schedule, please note that there are several events that take place in New Hampshire that may require you to book lodging well in advance (depending on the number in your cast and crew) or work around certain regions of the state at certain times. Fall Foliage Season in New Hampshire, Statewide
Mid-September to Late October

The fall foliage season in New Hampshire typically runs from the last two weeks in September through the first two weeks in October. Southern portions of the state and the seacoast may see the season run into the last weeks of October, and sometimes into early November, given the conditions. Lodging is commonly booked throughout the state a year in advance, with the highest percentage of rooms being booked over the Columbus Day weekend, as this is normally peak foliage in the central and White Mountains areas of the state. Foliage updates can be found at the official website of the Division of Travel and Tourism at www.visitnh.gov.
