New Hampshire Film and Television Office presents the Film & Video Trade Show at NHFX

(Concord, NH)  The New Hampshire Film and Television Office will present the Film & Video Trade Show as part of the 6th Annual New Hampshire Film Expo (NHFX), October 13-14, 2006 at the Connie Bean Center (Portsmouth Recreation Building), 135 Daniel Street in Portsmouth. The trade show is free and open to the general public.

Trade show attendees will have the opportunity to gather information on production services in the area, meet regional filmmakers and buy copies of their work, as well as attend breakout sessions and workshops.

Some of the participants exhibiting at the trade show include: Hatchling Studios of Portsmouth, Cineworks Productions of Deerfield, Granite Media Center of Tilton, and Great Northern Video and Red River Theatres of Concord.

“This is a nice opportunity to showcase some of the resources available not only to the film and television industry based in New Hampshire and around New England, but the general public, as well,” says Van McLeod, Commissioner of the New Hampshire Department of Cultural Resources. “We’ve put together what we think is a great environment where filmmakers and the public can have some good conversation about the craft.”

After a short absence, this year marks the return of the trade show portion of the New Hampshire Film Expo, its last incarnation having been set in Derry before the move of NHFX to Portsmouth.

“We are starting out with a smaller, more intimate setting as we reintroduce the trade show this year, and we are only skimming the surface of production companies and other film-related services in the region,” says Matthew Newton, Film Specialist managing the New Hampshire Film and Television Office. “It will be exciting to watch the trade show grow in the years ahead.

The Film & Video Trade Show will run Friday, October 13, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturday, October 14, 10 a.m.-5 pm.
