The New Hampshire Advantage

No Sales Tax, Personal Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax or Use Tax.
Since New Hampshire’s “rebates” are built into our economy, you never have to “pay now and save later.”  You get your savings up front the moment the cameras start rolling in New Hampshire.  No need to fill out permit applications or register your production company as a certified business.  Just bring your camera and your imagination.  When shooting has wrapped, get your film into post and forget about the paperwork.

No General Filming Permits.
Wait... did you say "no filming permits"? That’s right.  New Hampshire has no general filming permits.  Sure, you're encouraged to notify town officials and local authorities when securing your locations, and we can help you with that process.  We only require an application to film on state property, such as state parks, government buildings, or historic sites.

Truly one-stop shopping!
One phone call or e-mail networks you with our entire state. The New Hampshire Film and Television Office is proud to work with our 15-member Film Commission advisory board. On the commission, you'll find not only members of our state's film industry, but representatives from nearly a dozen state and local agencies. They have all been enthusiastic members of our board and have been continuously kept up-to-speed on all that's happening with regards to film and television production in New Hampshire. Do you know about the Federal Tax Incentive?
The American Jobs Creation Act (H.R. 4520), signed into law in 2004, includes tax provisions to encourage domestic film production. Click here for details on the Federal Tax Incentive.
