Governor John Lynch Welcomes You

Governor John Lynch

Dear Film Industry Professional:

On behalf of the State of New Hampshire, it is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to you and cordially invite you to consider the Granite State as a location for your next film or television project.

New Hampshire has a beauty and variety of natural resources that make our state a unique setting for the film industry.  Here you’ll find towering mountain ranges, pristine lakes, breathtaking foliage, historic mills, white-steepled town squares, rolling farmland and quaint villages.

You’ll not only find beauty, but find it within arm’s reach.  New Hampshire is centrally located, with easy access to major airports, highways and metropolitan areas and with technical resources, talent and other services readily available to fulfill your production needs.

It’s an exciting time for film production as state film offices nationwide are taking a closer look at the financial incentives and benefits for filmmakers, and I invite you to take advantage of the benefits that are built right into New Hampshire’s economy.  In other states, producers have the added red tape of submitting documentation for reimbursement.  However, New Hampshire’s lack of sales, use, personal income and capital gains taxes ensures that production companies can allocate money and time where they need it the most: the production.

In addition to our diverse locations, easy access and financial benefits, you’ll also find New Hampshire’s “quality of life” equally appealing.  Filmmakers from all over have come to the Granite State to not only film their projects, but to become permanent residents, as well.  There’s a relaxing, yet creative atmosphere here in New Hampshire, and our hassle-free business environment, simple lifestyle, and warm, friendly communities will help make your production an enjoyable experience.

We are committed to making New Hampshire a film-friendly state.  Our 14-member Film Commission advisory board consists of members of New Hampshire’s film industry as well as representatives from state agencies and associations, resulting in an open line of communication between your production and government officials at the state and local level.

Simply put, you’re going to love it here.

Again, welcome to New Hampshire.  With support from my office, The New Hampshire Film and Television Office looks forward to working with you on your next project.

Sincerely,

John H. Lynch

John H. Lynch
Governor
