Over 50 hours of interview with campaign directors and 20 hours of historical news footage were edited down to make this three hour, three part history.

Compelling and provocative, this documentary explores the fears of the Cold War era and the importance of the Bill of Rights. Cold War era newsreels and films are used to bring an understanding of the time. Interviews include Gov. Hugh Gregg, NH Attorney General Louis Wyman, Communist Party infiltrator Herb Philbrick, and Hugo DeGregory, who spent over ten years under subpoena while his case worked its way to the US Supreme Court. Produced in cooperation with the New Hampshire Bar Association and the New Hampshire Humanities Council. Winner of an award from the National Bar Association, this documentary resulted in the New Hampshire Legislature repealing the state’s Subversive Activities Law.
