Rich Text Format (RTF) Reader/Import

Some content on the NH.gov website is provided in Rich Text Format (RTF) files. RTF is a document file format with published specification developed by Microsoft Corporation since 1987 for Microsoft products and for cross-platform document interchange. Most word processors are able to read and write some versions of RTF.

Below are some free RFT reader/import programs for different operating systems. This list is not exhaustive and is provided for information and convenience only. The State of New Hampshire does not endorse or support these products.

  • Microsoft WordPad is available for Microsoft Windows.
  • TextEdit is available for Apple Mac OS X operating system.
  • TED available for Linux operating system.

Also most Word Processing programs (online and PC-based) support viewing, reading, importing, and writing RTF files.
