Browser Compatibility

EHDIN works best with Internet Explorer 6 or higher. EHDIN works with Mozilla Firefox, however, we have observed slower run-times.

EHDIN is not compatible with Google Chrome or the Apple Safari browser running on a PC (certain components do not load). Other browser and hardware combinations have not been tested.

The Environmental Health Data Integration Network (EHDIN) is NH's environmental public health tracking system. EHDIN is a web portal that provides data about environmental hazards, exposures, and health effects that may be linked to the environment. Data available on EHDIN focuses on measures of health outcomes that are related to the environment, hazard data that tells us about pollutants that may be found in the environment, and exposure data that tells us about contaminants found in people's bodies. Indicator measures include asthma hospitalizations, heart attack (acute myocardial infarction) hospitalizations, cancers, birth defects, vital statistics, key contaminants in public drinking water, air pollution, and childhood blood lead levels.

Data provided by EHDIN is designed to help federal, state, and local agencies, and others to:

  • Monitor and distribute information about environmental hazards and disease trends
  • Advance research on possible linkages between environmental hazards and disease, and
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate regulatory and public health actions to prevent or control environment-related diseases.
