Air Pollution Data
The EPHT Program is tracking two types of air pollution: ozone (O3) and particulate matter (PM2.5). Data for these pollutants are collected by the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (DES) through a network of air quality monitors located throughout the state. These monitors measure levels of ozone, particulate matter, and a number of other pollutants in outdoor air. DES sends air monitoring data to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for storage and evaluation to determine pollutant trends and to see if the levels of these pollutants exceed air quality standards. The EPHT Network at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) works closely with the EPA to provide air quality data to state EPHT Programs.
The following data about ozone (O3) and particulate matter (PM2.5) in New Hampshire is available on the Environmental Health Data Integration Network (EHDIN).
- Ozone exceedence days
- Person-days with an ozone exceedence
- PM2.5 monitor coverage
- PM2.5 concentration
- PM2.5 exceedence days
- Person days with PM2.5 exceedence
