  • What is the function of the Office of Stewardship and Compliance?
    • Our mission statement appropriately describes what we do … " to promote environmental stewardship and compliance and employee health & safety in order to improve the Agency’s overall environmental, health and safety performance. This is accomplished through awareness training, site/facility audits and implementation of management systems and pertinent programs. The OSC provides the support necessary to go beyond compliance to achieve continued excellence in stewardship, simply because it is the right thing to do."
  • What are the environmental responsibilities of the bureau?
    • We provide Department employees with the information and support necessary to achieve and maintain environmental compliance. In addition, the OSC provides the knowledge, programming and outreach to identify and incorporate best practices to improve the environmental stewardship of the Department.
  • What are the health and safety responsibilities of the bureau?
    • The Health & Safety Section is focused on improving the health and safety of the Department's employees. The Section oversees the implementation of a variety of programs to support this effort, including Wellness Works, an employee wellness program.
