Bike Maps | Merrimack Valley South Region
Photos MapTerrain
The Merrimack Valley North Region offers some terrific rides, which are generally rolling, with some hills sprinkled in.

Traffic

Areas that may have heavy traffic during peak hours and peak tourist seasons include US Route 3 and NH Route 9, where traffic is fast, but wide shoulders allow some relief.

Services

Services tend to be spread out quite a bit along US Route 3 and NH Route 9. Otherwise, most services are conveniently located throughout the region.

Highlights

Through the most heavily populated part of the state, the Merrimack Valley offers many miles of excellent roads for bicycling. Classic white New England churches, bubbling streams, and long stretches of lichen-covered stone walls are classic fare along these highways
