Intersection Improvement Project in Brookline
Left Turn Lanes on NH 13 at NH 130 and Quimby Rd.

The New Hampshire Department of Transportation announces a road widening project is scheduled to begin Monday, April 17, 2017 in Brookline to address safety concerns at the intersection of NH Route 13 with NH Route 130 (Milford St.) and Quimby Road.

This project involves the construction of left turn lanes on NH Route 13. The work area starts 950 feet south of the intersection and extends 900 feet north of the intersection. The end result will provide 12-foot wide center turn lanes and consistent 4-foot shoulders.

There will be a speed reduction from 50 mph to 40 mph during work hours, and occasional alternating one-way traffic controlled by flaggers. Motorists should expect delays due to lane shifts and construction equipment. Access to businesses will be maintained during construction.

American Excavating Corporation of Derry, New Hampshire is the contractor for the $522,543 project, which has a final completion date of June 16, 2017.
